Leva (Lee-va) was large and substantial with good pigment, strong bone and head, yet every bit a lady. She was a fireball of energy with high ball drive and a very intense desire to please, yet also content to relax when we were ready to relax. She was extremely healthy with unsurpassed intelligence, and an outstanding temperament. A Granddaughter of VA5 Sam vom Haus Burow, SCHh3, KKL1a, OFA ('95 USA National), and is 3 times "Uran" with lines to VA Lasso di val Sole, VA Mark vom Haus Beck, VA Erl vom Trappenberg, and CH Caralon's Phantom vd Lebarland, CD, OFA.
Although not shown because of being a longcoat,
she possessed excellent structure and temperament. In 3 small litters Leva produced VERY
large, heavy boned puppies with excellent health, balanced structure; sound, loving
temperaments; and high intelligence. Leva was spayed in 2003 at 7 years of age and
lived out her retirement years with Melana Shepherds where she was born.
Leva had never been sick a day in her life or been to the vet for anything other then routine care until we discovered a mammary tumor in July 2005. It was unfortunately diagnosed as malignant and despite removal of the tumor and our efforts to save her, Leva passed over to rainbow bridge in December 2005, 3 months shy of her 10th birthday.
